0% VAT on the Installation of Domestic Air Conditioning

In the 2022 Spring Statement, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that from 1st April 2022, the rate of VAT on the installation of domestic air conditioning systems is to be reduced to 0%. This reduction replaces the previously reduced rate of 5% and the previous “social conditions” and “60% test” requirements no longer apply.
